Dublin in recent times has become one of the most popular places in Europe to visit or stay in and with good reason. The reasons why people come here are endless and the possibilities for enjoying oneself here are many, and one of the ways lots of people enjoy themselves is through food. Some of Dublin’s best night spots and unusual shops line the narrow, cobbled streets of the Temple bar area. This area has became the city’s arts zone, with a healthy alternative culture. Also in this area, between the Bank of Ireland and Christ Church Cathedral lie some of Dublin’s most loved restaurants.

From bohemian cafes through to sophisticated restaurants, eating out in Dublin has never been so much fun. Located in the heart of this area, Fitzsimons Bar is an ideal meeting place and centre of activity, with bars on all of it’s three floors and a wide range of live music playing nightly, Fitzsimons is a must for those who enjoy good company as well as good food. Fitzer’s Temple bar is another good example of the wealth of the area, renowned for excellent service and quality over the years, Fitzers is a favourite among Dubliners and tourists alike.

Another of Dublin’s favourites, Buskers bar has undergone a huge refurbishment recently, and in keeping with the new interior, a new healthy, modern Irish lunch and evening bar menu has been created, offering new and exciting modern pub cuisine. This is also a famous bar and it seems if you’re out enjoying good food in Dublin, you may as well enjoy some good drinks as well.

Another bar with the weight of history behind it is Cassidy’s Bar, established in 1856 and once the home of the Irish Freeman’s Journal - the oldest national newspaper in Ireland. And to top that off, it is owned and run by the cousins of Bill Clinton, who visited in 1995. These are just a few choices of the hundreds to choose from, anywhere you look in the Temple bar area there is somewhere with mouth watering food and, great music and interesting people.
